Highlights from Each Event
Digital Construction Week, London
Our CEO Naoki Kitamura took the Tech Stage to discuss how the industry can move from digital potential to real-world transformation. The response was energizing—we heard from dozens of firms struggling with disjointed systems, inconsistent processes, and difficulty scaling innovation across teams.
AIA Conference, Boston
In Boston, we connected deeply with the architectural community and had many productive conversations about how digital tools like ReqManager and KnowledgeBuilder can support design-driven collaboration, sustainability, and project clarity. The architectural perspective added another layer to our understanding of cross-disciplinary needs.
NXT BLD / NXT DEV, London
We closed the tour with a keynote by Naoki Kitamura at the Lenovo Stage, sharing our vision for an integrated digital ecosystem in AEC. The energy at NXT BLD/DEV was electric—attendees were ready to talk about the future, and many saw Tektome’s tools as the bridge to get there.
Showcasing ReqManager & Introducing KnowledgeBuilder
At each stop, we proudly showcased our flagship solutions – ReqManager and our newly introduced KnowledgeBuilder – and engaged with hundreds of professionals passionate about advancing the built environment. It was an inspiring journey of connection, reflection, and momentum.
Across all three events, our solutions struck a powerful chord with attendees.
-
ReqManager addressed a glaring industry need: structured, traceable, and collaborative requirements management. From project owners to designers, everyone we spoke with emphasized how fragmented and manual requirements workflows continue to slow projects down and introduce risk.
-
KnowledgeBuilder, introduced during this tour, generated excitement as a new approach to institutional knowledge management. Teams from across the sector recognized the value of capturing and reusing insights—avoiding “reinventing the wheel” on every new project.
Whether it was in London or Boston, visitors to our stand consistently echoed the same sentiment: the AEC industry needs better tools to unify information, standardize data, and empower smarter decisions.
What We Learned: Shared Challenges, Common Vision
Throughout the tour, a set of recurring themes emerged—pain points shared across disciplines, geographies, and company sizes:
Fragmented Systems Are Holding Projects Back
Teams are still working in silos, juggling disconnected platforms and losing time reconciling conflicting information. A unified data environment remains elusive but urgently needed.
Requirements Management Remains Manual and Risky
Crucial project requirements are often buried in PDFs or isolated spreadsheets. There’s widespread agreement that purpose-built, collaborative platforms like ReqManager are essential for transparency and delivery assurance.
AI Potential is Real—but Underutilized
While everyone’s talking about AI, few are using it effectively. Many firms are still addressing foundational issues—data standardization, integration, and accessibility—that must be solved before AI can truly thrive in this space.
Institutional Knowledge is Being Lost
With senior staff retiring and information trapped in fragmented archives, there’s a growing awareness that project knowledge must be captured and reused more systematically. KnowledgeBuilder was met with great enthusiasm as a step in that direction.
Moving Forward Together
This tour wasn’t just about showcasing products—it was about listening, learning, and aligning with the real challenges that AEC professionals face daily. Across all three events, it became clear that while the sector is evolving rapidly, many teams are still looking for the right partners and tools to help them modernize meaningfully.
At Tektome, we’re more confident than ever in our mission to deliver structured, AI-powered solutions that turn project data into project intelligence.
A Heartfelt Thank You
To everyone we met—thank you for your time, your insights, and your curiosity. From London to Boston and back again, your feedback sharpened our understanding and fueled our drive.
We’re just getting started. Let’s build what’s next—together.
