AI Conversations Have Moved Beyond the Hype
Digital Construction Week 2026 confirmed what many across the AEC industry have been sensing for some time: AI adoption is accelerating.
Over two days in London, conversations across the exhibition floor, conference sessions, and networking events consistently returned to how AI can deliver measurable value in real project environments. While many technology providers showcased new AI capabilities, attendees were increasingly focused on a more important question: how can AI improve the way teams work, make decisions, and capture expertise?
As our Solutions Architect and Technical Business Development Representative, Henry Turner, observed during the event:
The bigger question is not just which tools have AI. It is whether those tools help teams capture the knowledge that makes each design iteration and each project improve the next one.
That perspective resonated strongly throughout the event. Across the industry, there is growing recognition that the future of digital construction is not simply about automation. It is about preserving organizational knowledge, improving consistency, and enabling better decisions across projects.
Connecting with the Industry’s Digital Leaders
For Tektome, Digital Construction Week was an outstanding opportunity to engage directly with architects, engineers, contractors, BIM managers, and digital leaders facing these challenges every day.
The discussions we had throughout the event reinforced a common trend that organisations are looking for practical AI solutions that integrate seamlessly into existing workflows while delivering tangible improvements in productivity, quality, and decision-making.

Strong Interest Following Our CEO’s Tech Stage Presentation
One of the highlights of the event was our CEO’s presentation on the Tech Stage. The session attracted significant interest from attendees eager to understand how AI can move beyond isolated productivity gains and become part of a broader strategy for improving project delivery, quality assurance, and knowledge reuse across organizations.
The strong engagement during and after the session demonstrated the growing appetite for solutions that help firms scale expertise, improve consistency, and make better use of project knowledge.
AI BIM Checker Draws Attention at the Tektome Booth
The response at our booth reinforced many of the themes discussed during the presentation. Visitors consistently expressed interest in AI solutions that solve practical operational challenges rather than simply adding another layer of technology.
In particular, our newly launched AI BIM Checker generated substantial attention. The solution enables teams to run BIM checks using plain language, removing many of the barriers traditionally associated with BIM automation.
Rather than relying on scripting, complex rule configuration, or specialist expertise, users can ask questions directly of their BIM models and receive visual, traceable results.
Many attendees saw immediate applications for improving model verification, reducing manual checking effort, and making BIM quality assurance accessible to a wider range of project stakeholders.

Looking Ahead
As Digital Construction Week 2026 demonstrated, the industry is entering a new phase of AI adoption. The focus is shifting away from experimentation and toward practical implementation, measurable outcomes, and scalable knowledge sharing.
We left the event energized by the conversations, encouraged by the feedback, and excited about the opportunities ahead. Most importantly, we left with confidence that the challenges Tektome is focused on solving are becoming priorities across the entire AEC sector.
