NXT BLD/DEV 2026 Recap: A Busy Two Days of AI, AEC Innovation and New Conversations

NXT BLD/DEV 2026 brought the AEC technology community together in London for its busiest edition yet, and Tektome was proud to be part of the momentum. Across two days at Stand 16 and on the main stage, we shared our latest AI solutions, introduced our Multi Intelligence Platform vision, and connected with partners, customers and new collaborators across the industry.

The conference was one to remember. Held at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London on 13-14 May, the event brought together the AEC technology community for two packed days of talks, demos, networking and discussion around the future of the built environment.

This year also marked NXT BLD’s tenth anniversary, with AEC Magazine setting out a programme focused on AI, design automation, open data, digital fabrication, generative design, XR, next-generation BIM and the shift beyond today’s document-focused workflows.

For us at Tektome, it felt like the busiest NXT BLD/DEV ever. From the moment the exhibition opened, Stand 16 was full of conversations with new visitors, existing partners and teams we are already working with. It was a valuable opportunity to hear first-hand how architects, engineers, consultants and technology leaders are thinking about AI adoption in real project environments.

Across the two days, we presented three core solutions: AI BIM Checker, Regulations Research and Requirements Management. Each one is designed to help AEC teams reduce manual work, improve project intelligence and bring more confidence to complex decision-making. At the stand, many of the discussions focused on how AI can move beyond simple automation and become a practical part of everyday design, compliance and coordination workflows.

A major highlight was our CEO Naoki Kitamura’s main stage session, “When AI Learns Your Secrets: A Multi Intelligence Future for Design.” In the talk, Naoki introduced the concept of the Multi Intelligence Platform: a future where human expertise, AI agents and connected knowledge systems work together in one coordinated environment. Rather than relying on a single generic AI assistant, the idea is to connect agents, standards, project data, regulations, BIM information and organisational knowledge into a system that can support real project execution and work.

We were also delighted to introduce our newest team member in London: Henry, who joins Tektome as a Technical BDR / Solutions Architect. Having a growing presence in London is an important step for us as we continue working more closely with partners and customers across the UK and Europe.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who stopped by Stand 16, joined Naoki’s session, shared feedback, asked questions or discussed possible collaborations with us. The quality of conversations at NXT BLD/DEV showed just how quickly the industry is moving from curiosity about AI to practical implementation.

Finally, a big thank you to the AEC Magazine team, especially Martyn and Tony, for organising such a successful event and creating a space where the future of AEC technology can be explored with real energy, openness and ambition.
